Pursuant to Section 92-3.7, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, this meeting will be conducted as a remote meeting by interactive conference technology, with the following procedures in effect for the meeting:

Some Councilmembers and presenters may be participating in the meeting by interactive conference technology from remote locations.
Remote and in-person oral testimony will be permitted on all items on the agenda when each agenda item is taken up. Each speaker may not have anyone else read their statement and is limited to a one‑minute presentation.

1. RESOLUTION 24-187 – TRANSFER OF FUNDS (HOSD). Authorizing a transfer of $281,000 in General Fund monies and $111,450 in Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve Fund monies from the Department of Emergency Services, Ocean Safety activity (current expenses character of expenditure ("COE")) to Ocean Safety activity (equipment COE) for fiscal year 2025 to cover the replacement of eight lifeguard towers at a cost of approximately $45,000 per tower, including two tower replacements reserved for Hanauma Bay, and replacement of one 4-seat utility task vehicle at Hanauma Bay which costs approximately $21,000. A. Inserts a new tenth WHEREAS clause listing the aggregate estimated value of the parcels to be transferred as $7,288,600.

8. RESOLUTION 24-165 – REAL PROPERTY TAX COMPROMISE. Approving a one-time compromise of the real property taxes owed by Hale Kipa, Inc. for the tax year beginning July 1, 2023 in the amount due of $7,332 plus any accrued interest and penalties owing on the Property, located at 1828 A Makuahine Street, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi 96817, identified by Tax Map Key 1-6-028-040, such that said taxes are compromised to the minimum tax of $300 in accordance with Council Resolution 11-259.
